This follows Tony's post.
I have come to a conclusion that one does not need to put in much effort to be average at UChicago, but it takes quite a bit of effort to be good and a lot of work to be great. After two quarters of average grades, I discovered that mediocrity does not work for me. I will raise my academic standards and set goals; anything lower than an A- is considered failure. Though there are a lot of people who are smarter than me, I must at least put in some effort so that I do not get left in the dust. Start strong, finish strong. This is do or die, this is UChicago.
